A delicious cocktail inspired by a turkey parade in the fall. Invented by Shorty.
Ingredients
- one slice candied ginger
- one orange
- dash of Angostura bitters
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 oz Benedictine & Brandy (B&B)
- 3 oz bourbon (wild turkey?)
- cinnamon stick
- ice
Preparation
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle candied ginger and two 1⁄2 inch strips of orange peel.
- Squeeze 2 tbsp of orange juice into the shaker.
- Add a dash of Angostura bitters, the vanilla extract, and agave syrup. Muddle it dawg.
- Add B&B and bourbon and stir 20 times or until all liquid ingredients have sufficiently mixed.
- Add ice. Stir 30-45 seconds.
- Use a lighter to ignite the cinnamon stick until smoking and cover with serving glass until the cinnamon stick stops smoking.
- Use a strainer to pour the shaker into the serving glass and garnish with orange peel.
